The LEPL - National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement investigates the state-recognition of the diploma holder's period of study and the eligibility to continue the study at the next level of education.
Comments/Additional Information
The "General Education Diploma" is awarded upon completion of a full course of general education programme (12 years) and successfully passing the school leaving examinations.
Subjects: the National Curriculum is cyclically set and approved directly the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as the academic standards and timetable (National Curriculum 2011-2016).
Grading system: currently there is a 10-point grading scale > 10-9 (high), 8-7 (above avarage), 6-5 (average), 4-3 (below avarage), 2-1 (low).
Awarding period: upon completion of 12 years of schooling.
In Georgia there is also a national Higher Education applications system through the Unified National Examination provided by the LEPL National Assessment and Examinations Center.
