In the general and technical education, the standard number of study years is 12.
In vocational education, however, the standard number of study years is 13.
Comments/Additional Information
The upper secondary education diploma's are issued by the secondary schools (or in some cases by the school extern examination commission) and homologated by the Ministry of the German-speaking Community.
The use of the sample certificate provided by the government is mandatory (for current samples, see decree of 28th may 2009, page 25f).
