The point scale is 0% to 100%, the minimum passing grade is 30% for each obligatory exam in oral and written part. For the additional exams the passing thresold has not been specified.

Subject: there are 2 obligatory oral exams and 4 obligatory written exams. The oral exams are in Polish language, foreign language or national minority language. In the case of oral exams the level is not specified. The obligatory written exams are: Polish language (basic level), foreign language (basic level), national minority language (basic level), mathematics (basic level) and a selective subject (extended level). Polish language, foreign language, mathematics and national minority language may also be taken at the extended level. The selective subjects are the following: 1 compulsory subject (extended only) + from 1 to 5 subjects at extended level (foreign languages: extended or bilingual), Polish, foreign language (English/French/Spanish/German/Russian/Italian), national minority language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Physics, Geography, History, History of Music, History of Art, Information, Technology, Latin and classical civilization, Ethnic minority language (Lemko), Regional minority language (Kashubian), Civic Education.
Graduates wishing to improve results can retake their exams (both written and oral) in the following years; they can also take exams in additional subjects. Their new results are then documented in the annex to maturity certificate (aneks do świadectwa dojrzałości). The annex is valid only together with maturity certificate.
